2011 –

Guan Chong Berhad was awarded the Highest Profit Growth Company & the Best Performing Stock by The Edge Billion Ringgit Club

2011 –

PT Asia Cocoa Indonesia, the new plant in Batam started its 1st phase operation.

2010 –

GCB Singapore, a subsidiary, incorporated in April acts as procurement, marketing and trading for both factories in Malaysia (GCCM) and Indonesia (ACI)

2010 –

Achieved maximum capacity of   80 000 mt of cocoa beans grinding.

2009 –

Acquired Specialty Chocolates Sdn. Bhd and registered as GCB Specialty Chocolates, another subsidiary producing industrial compound chocolates.

2009 –

GCB Foods won the Best Brand award by MICCOS & obtained Malaysia Good Design Mark

2008 –

GCB Foods was awarded Best Brand , Innovation and Manufacturer by the Malaysian Cocoa Board.

2007 –

Achieved more than 60 000 mt of cocoa beans grinding.

2006 –

Moving downstream, subsidiary, GCB Foods commenced operation producing consumer chocolates and chocolate beverage

2006 –

Install deodorized plant ad produce deodorized cocoa butter for the 4th quarter. Commissioning of  biomass plant  in September  at Pasir Gudang factory utilizing cocoa shell, as energy source to produce steam.

2006 –

In partnership with Carlyle Cocoa through GCB America to expand cocoa product distribution in US market.

2005 –

Guan Chong Berhad was listed in the main board of the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange

2004 –

Guan Chong Cocoa Manufacturer was awarded Enterprise 50, Keris Award and  Industry Excellence for Manufacturing Award

2004 –

Added 3rd processing line, partially with Nibs alkalizer, producing 3 mt an hour capacity of cocoa powder pulverization

2004 –

Obtained HACCP & ISO 9001 certification

2003 –

Subsidiary, Enrich Mix – the blending and mixing division began operation producing sugar cocoa preparation

2003 –

Subsidiary, Guan Chong Trading commenced operation; trading and sourcing of cocoa beans

Added 2nd processing line and achieved over 32,000 mt of cocoa beans grinding

1997 –

Added alkalizing process to a wider range of cocoa powder. Produced over 15,000 mt of cocoa beans grinding
